Description: Designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape, the angular Sipuli pendant lamp is made from blown opal glass and received a gold medal at the Milan Triennial in 1954. Description: The form of Nīkau is based on the bulb and intersecting leaf forms of a Nīkau plant, the only indigenous palm tree in New Zealand. Unlike the coconut palm which has coconuts, Nīkau is a slender clean looking palm tree. The fronds from the palm were traditionally used for thatching and weaving.
